An introduction to our club

and getting started in r/c...

The Rockland County Radio Control Club was founded with 12 members in the summer of 1961, and the following year it became an official charter of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), the leading body governing model aviation in the USA.  In recent years, membership has reached over 300, although more than 700 members have been affiliated with the club since its founding.

With much thanks and gratitude to the Town of Clarkstown for allowing us use of the field at the Transfer Station, we at RCRCC we have the best interests of the community in mind along with standing invitations to the Boy and Girl Scouts or any civic organization that wants to see what we are all about. Most of all, we are in this for fun, the love of the hobby and having the ability to share this with others is the icing on the cake.

If you would like to join us, you first need to have a valid AMA card which you can get from the Academy of Model Aeronautics by clicking here. Dues are $215 for the first year and then only $65 annually after that. If you are 18 and under and want to join, membership fees are $10 for the first year, then $5 annual dues. If you have any questions about joining you can contact us at rcrccmail@gmail.com.
